A Dialogue with our Lead Designer

A conversation about inspirations, future trends, and the philosophy behind the new collection.

CHIC: What was the primary inspiration behind this season's collection?

ELENA MOREAU: I found myself drawn to the concept of "quiet resilience." I was looking at modernist sculpture and the way raw materials like stone and metal can feel both incredibly strong and surprisingly soft depending on how they are worked. I wanted to translate that duality into clothing—pieces that feel protective and structured, yet allow for complete freedom of movement.

CHIC: Materials seem to play a crucial role in your process. Can you elaborate on that choice?

EM: Absolutely. For me, the fabric dictates the design. We spent months sourcing materials that had the right hand-feel and longevity. We aren't interested in fast fashion. We want to create garments that become part of your personal archive, pieces that age beautifully. The tactile quality of a double-faced wool or the weight of a good Japanese denim is where the luxury truly lies.

"My goal is to create a uniform for the creative mind—clothing that clears the noise and allows the wearer's personality to take center stage."

CHIC: How do you define the "modern silhouette" that the brand is known for?

EM: It’s about balance. It’s removing the excess. It’s a slightly oversized shoulder balanced by a cinched waist, or a voluminous trouser paired with a fitted top. It’s clothing that doesn’t constrict but rather empowers. The modern silhouette is confident, streamlined, and above all, functional. It’s designed for life, not just for a photograph.
